I'm an experienced drummer with an eclectic taste in music based in the South East near West London.

My style is 'old school' in approach and is best suited to Jazz, Soul grooves, Rhythm & Blues, Burlesque events and anything that needs a deep double shuffle (my shuffles are very 'authentic' and spoken of with great admiration). I play with 'feel' and have good timekeeping and groove. I can also play Latin styles, Bossa, Samba and Rhumba etc as well as brushes.

I've travelled Europe and the UK playing festivals and clubs and have enjoyed being the 'first call' drummer for various American Blues artists when they visit the UK. I have recorded sessions at BBC Maida Vale studios for Mark Lamarr's Radio 2 show with Barrence Whitfield and Big Boy Bloater, as well as for BBC Radio 6 and BBC Radio Berkshire. Recent shows have included, the amazing Imelda May, Wanda Jackson, Jerimiah Marques and Otis Grand.

I have two main kits. A 1960s vintage Gretsch kit in 22/13/16 sizes, and a Gretsch 'Bop' kit in 18/12/14 sizes. I have various snare drums to call upon and I use hand hammered Bosphorus cymbals, as well as vintage 1970s Paiste 602 cymbals.

I'm very commited and willing to travel both the UK and abroad. I'm available for long or short term projects as well as studio and depping duties. I'm interested in any work with 60's style Hammond groove bands and Jazz projects.
